Still Point Artist Logo

A local Colorado music producer approached me with a desire to have a sketch of a logo and turn it into a digitized logo he can use for his marketing needs. He was already working with another artist on the design of the logo, but they needed a graphic designer like me to bring it to life.

The photo above was the photo set to me to use as a reference image to turn this into a digital logo. As you can see the image quality isn't great, yet, this isn't a problem for me.

Brief Video showing Process

The video above features a screen recording of my Adobe Illustrator workspace for this project. The first logo you see, which was traced by the computer, is not amazing. The lines are not very smooth and the blue areas are the thousands of points that make up this shape. Throughout the video, you will notice the progression the logo took from start to finish. The last logo you see, you can tell is much clean, smoother, and has a fraction of the amount of points making up this shape. This is because I trace the logo by the pen tool in Adobe illustrator and paid close attention to the points I made.
